K9 ADVISORS along with MCABSL, Miami Coalition Against Breed Specific Legislation, want to educate you on the Pit Bull problems in Miami. For several years there has been a growing fight with legislators and Pit Bull owners over the BSL, Breed Specific Legislation, in Miami Dade County. With the BSL authorities have the power to remove Pit Bulls from their homes and families just because of the breed. Regardless if your Pit Bull has ever shown signs of over aggression or biting another animal or person. We all need to fight the BSL and get legislation that treats each dog on a case by case base.

We all need to do our part and fight for the rights of Pit Bulls and the other breeds who are being condemned just because of their breed. This is discrimination against specific breeds and if we don't get together and solve the Pit Bull problems in Miami then this BSL will start to take over other cities, counties and states while also increasing the list of breeds.

We ask you to get informed and involved to protect our dog's rights. There are 2 documentaries that explains the BSL in detail as well as uncovering the truth about Pit Bulls. One documentary was directing and created by Libby Sherrill called Beyond the Myth Movie: A Documentary about Pit Bulls & Breed Discrimination. The second documentary is due out in the fall of 2010 by the MCABSL detailing BSL and how important it is to understand this discrimination legislation.
