Pit Bull Documentary:

MCABSL, Miami Coalition Against Breed Specific Legislation, is an organization that was created to fight BSL, Breed Specific Legislation. Originally we started with our fight to shed light onto the discrimination against pit bulls. We eve endorsed the pit bull documentary called Beyond the Myth: A Documentary About Pit Bulls and Breed Discrimination by Libby Sherrill.

BSL has targeted pit bulls for many years across the country. BSL gives authorities the right to remove pit bulls from their homes and families simply because of their breed and physical characteristics, even though the dog has no prior history or complaints against it. There are even documented incidents of a pit bull being removed from their home and being put down.

Sherrill's documentary has uncovered the stereotypes and falsehoods about pit bulls and families that have lost their innocent dogs due to the discrimination of BSL. It is shocking to see how many pit bulls and other breeds that are being discriminated against by being taken away and brought to "doggie death rows" or worse whether there was an incident with the dog.
